For over a hundred years, communications technology has kept Auckland talking. To see how, call into MOTAT (the Museum of Transport and Technology, at 805 Great North Road & Meola Rd, Western Springs) for their weekly Telecommunications Workshop from 10am to 5pm, where volunteers will be on hand to talk about restoration projects and demonstrate how phones, switchboards and miles of cables conected Auckland to the rest of the world.
